The town is comprised of four districts: Matuda Soryo, Matuda Shoshi, Kamiyama, and Yorin. Situated approximately 75 kilometers from the city center and about 45 kilometers from Yokohama, Matuda Town is surrounded by nature, including lush mountains such as Matuda-yama, Higedake, Takamatsu-yama, and Ameyama from the Tanzawa mountain range, as well as beautiful rivers like Sakawa River, Kawaoto River, and Nakatsu River. In terms of transportation, the town is well-connected by rail with two stations on the JR Gotemba Line (Matuda Station) and the Odakyu Odawara Line (Shin-Matuda Station), linking it to central Tokyo, Shizuoka Prefecture, and Odawara City. Additionally, the town is accessible via major highways such as the Tomei Expressway, National Route 246, and National Route 255, providing connections to the eastern and southern parts of the prefecture as well as to Tokyo.
